On Trail

Elevated upon two wooden sawhorses, a mirrored ball rolls slowly along a white beam. Seemingly in constant danger of rolling off, the ball somehow remains balanced along the edge of the beam. The reflective surface draws the viewer closer, eager to understand the precarious motions of the object. There, he or she becomes prepared to catch the ball at any moment, discovering on closer inspection that the reflections, depending on the ball’s position on the beam, reveal ever-changing perspectives of the viewer and the space.
