Danish EXPO Pavilion Shanghai

In cooperation with BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group On top of the spiral-shaped Danish Expo Pavilion, a round water pavilion offers visitors an active and playful aesthetic experience. The accessible installation provokes interaction between viewer and artwork and thus mediates a dialogue between visitors.IN addition a long meandering line of benches slopes and bends through the Danish Expo Pavilion. Running up and down the different levels of the pavilion and alongside the bicycle lane, the bench adapts elastically to its environment, functioning as both a setting for food and drinks and a barrier between pedestrians and cyclists.
