Water Island Morsbroich

Enclosed by a vertical wall of water, a circular water pavilion emerges from amidst an existing water basin in front of the museum. When the flow of water momentarily stops, visitors may enter the pavilion upon four footpaths that flank the circle. The water then erupts once again and surrounds the visitors within the wall of water. Visitors can experience the pavilion as a space for both communication and privacy, depending on whether they share the enclosure with a group of people or enjoy it on their own.
